HOW ORCHID BEAUTY WAS BORN
After developing my skills and building a reputable clientele over the years that followed, I decided it was time to further my career. I successfully applied for a Spa Therapist role at one of the largest Hotel Spas in the UK and was quickly recognised, not only for my high standard of treatment, but for my sheer determination and passion. Within a short period of time, I was appointed as the Owner’s private therapist, joining them on their travels around the world for several years. It was at that point I knew I was on the right path.
Having returned to the Spa, I quickly climbed the ranks and became Spa Manager. With expertise in leadership, training and development and producing outstanding revenue results, I led and developed a team of up to 120 staff members. My team consistently went the extra mile to offer exceptional customer service and create a lasting impression on our guests. Recognised for my ability, I was awarded Manager of the Year and went on to grow the large Spa, from 23 treatment rooms to 32, operating at 98% productivity.
Recognising the staff recruitment and retention crisis within the Spa and Wellness sector, I decided to take a step in a new direction.
Launching Orchid Beauty Recruitment was one of the biggest leaps of faith I have taken to date. There have been endless obstacles and challenges, (not to mention a global pandemic thrown into the mix!) yet my vision remains so clear. My mission is to support candidate career development and client business success in this ever-evolving industry we are fortunate to be part of.
